GB&I leads U.S. 4 1/2 to 3 1/2 at PGA Cup

Down 3-1 after the morning fourball session, Great Britain and Ireland rallied in the afternoon foursomes for a 4 1/2 to 3 1/2 lead after Day 1 at the 28th PGA Cup.Matthew Cort and Garry Houston started GB&I's afternoon rally with a 2-up win over Americans Dave McNabb and Josh Speight. GB&I also won the next two matches, but the U.S. team of Matt Dobyns and Omar Uresti got a half point with a win on the 18th hole against David Higgins and Damien McGrane.The international competition between PGA professionals continues Saturday at the Foxhills Club & Resorts Longcross Course outside of London with another session of morning fourballs and afternoon foursomes, followed by Sunday singles.Keep up to date with all the scores here.
